Yes it does. The Base Unit plugs into the wall socket but it has a backup battery that should last up to 30 hours. The pendant runs off a battery all the time so it’s not affected either.

Our alarm communicates through the cellular network, not WIFI, so a power cut won’t affect your alarm talking to our Monitoring Centre.

No. Our alarm is wireless and is easy to install. The Base Unit plugs into the wall & the pendants runs off batteries. Once we’ve installed the Base Unit we’ll test it for you while we’re there to make sure it’s working correctly. If you have a more advanced medical alarm with sensors, they are attached to the wall with 2 sided tape, so they’re easy to install as well and don’t require an electrician.

Absolutely. The pendants are shower proof and we encourage you to wear the pendant in the bathroom.

If your pendant has not communicated with us in a while you will receive a call from us to test your pendant. We will also phone you to check-in once every six months to see how you are going, answer any questions and update any details for your emergency contacts, access details and medical details.

A low battery sends an alert to our Monitoring Centre who will ring you to let you know. We treat this as urgent and will that day send you a replacment pendant via courier. We will ask you to send the old pendant back to us in the courier package provided. Over the phone we’ll tell you how to pair your new pendant with your Base Unit and then we’ll get you to test it to make sure it’s working properly.

There is no charge for this service.

Call our Monitoring Centre on 0800 865 865 and we’ll make a note of when you’re leaving & returning.  You can also let us know by activating your pendant. When we ask you if this is an emergency, tell us you’re testing your pendant & also want to let us know about your holiday.
